Lots of the folks who visit our fine town visit for the same reasons: the world-class historical sites of which we are so proud. Guess what? As it turns out, there’s a lot to do in Orange that goes beyond living history.

Some folks are outdoorsy, and some folks are epic. If you’re in the latter category, you’ll probably want to take your love of Virginia right up to the skies. Come fly with Skydive Orange, the Washington D.C. region’s best and brightest skydiving destination, where great big, powerful planes and downright incredible skydiving adventurists join forces to help landlubbers fulfill their flying dreams. You can even earn your license here and become the bird you always knew yourself to be!

Grelen Trails

There’s nothing like a great hike for a city escape idea, and Grelen Trails just might be Virginia’s best. With more than ten miles of linking trails to choose from, you can arrive stocked up for a full-day excursion, or choose a leisurely post-winery ramble in the close by (and highly photogenic) Nursery. If a sweaty trail run is more your style — or if you have a keen Fido in tow — options abound. Notable: The Grelen walking trails are free, and cheerfully open to the public.
