“Nevertheless is a series about becoming whole. Each painting holds a piece of my journey as a woman relearning how to take up space, how to honor desire, how to trust the quiet pull toward joy. These florals are not delicate. They insist. They stretch, tangle, bloom without permission.
Rooted in themes of freedom, grief, resistance, and reclamation, this work offers beauty not as decoration but as declaration. It is an answer to a world that often demands our silence. A gesture of softness that does not apologize. A deep breath in a loud and unraveling time.
This is what it means to make something anyway. To keep creating, even in the chaos. To return to color, to motion, to self.
