Join a panel of archaeologists, historic preservationists, and researchers to discover the stories of the Madison planter’s cottage. Once occupied by a young James Madison with his parents and siblings, this building eventually served as a kitchen and home for enslaved cooks. Exploring how this structure (and the surrounding landscape) changed over time, the panelists will demonstrate how interdisciplinary, collaborative investigation is essential in understanding a fuller, more accurate account of the past.
Free! Register now and we’ll send you a link to participate. If you can’t tune in when it’s live, you can watch it any time afterward!
