Montpelier’s Horticultural History: A Virtual Exploration

Join Montpelier’s Horticulture team to learn how and why the ornamental landscape has evolved over the last two centuries. Both the Madison and duPont families collected and displayed plants for pleasure. Visitors to the estate have remarked at the splendor of their collections, the beauty of the landscape, and the opulence of the formal garden for over 200 years. The tour will cover the South Yard, Arboretum, East Law, and Formal Garden.
