“When Women Use Their Power” In Person & Virtual Exhibit

October 1 - October 31

FREE

“WHEN WOMEN USE THEIR POWER,” featuring Cardiology/Cardiovascular Pulmonary Licensed Practical Nurse (retired), Marlene G. Ware.

The Carver 4-County Museum features 10 notable women of color who were born and/or worked in the counties of Culpeper, Orange, Rappahannock and Madison.  Each serves as an example of determination, reinvention, generosity and grit – qualities that advanced their communities.

The Month of October spotlights Marlene G. Ware, 43-year nursing professional, now retired, who continues to uplift citizens through her work with the Culpeper Literacy Council, the Culpeper Board of Elections, and the George Washington Carver Regional High School Alumni Association (GWCRHSAA).

An in-person version of the entire exhibit will be open to the public through the end of December. Virtual exhibit available now: Click HERE

Open by appointment Thursdays – Saturdays, 11am to 4pm. Contact Charlotte Carpenter at (540) 270-3891 or Dr. Hortense Hinton-Jackson at (540) 829-6331.  Groups are welcome.
