Meet Dave Borghesani\, Chocolate Historian!\nDave will lead a hands-on chocolate-making demonstration\, showing how chocolate was prepared and enjoyed during James Madison’s era. Guests will see the authentic tools and processes used by historic chocolate makers\, from roasting and grinding cocoa nibs on a heated lava metate stone to adding aromatic spices that create chocolate’s distinctive flavor. Visitors can touch\, smell\, and taste their way through history and enjoy a cup of drinking chocolate – in this case made with AMERICAN HERITAGE Chocolate – just as our Founding Fathers did.
