Your evening begins with a tour of our ceramics studio and gallery\, followed by a demonstration from one of The Art Center’s talented Resident Artists. Then it’s your turn. With plenty of guidance and encouragement\, you’ll sit down at the wheel and create your own pottery from clay. Most participants spend about 90 minutes on the wheel and create two to three pieces during their first session. No experience is necessary—just a willingness to try something new and have fun. Once your pieces are complete\, you’ll choose from more than 60 beautiful glazes to give your work its final color and character. Our staff will then fire and finish your pottery\, and 4-6 weeks later\, you’ll return to pick up your handmade creations—lasting reminders of a memorable evening. \nWho Is It For?
