Step Into History: Introduction
Visit Orange’s “Step Into History” blog series showcasing the incredible and acclaimed historic sites located throughout Orange County, Virginia. Take a step back in time to the first German settlement in colonial Virginia, or to the enslaved communities, or to the lifelong home of one of America’s Founding Fathers, or the American Civil War as you travel throughout Orange County. Meet Purr, the Orange County Tabby Cat
Each blog post will include a coloring page from “The Nine Lives of an Orange Tabby” created by the Orange County Historical Society in collaboration with The Arts Center In Orange. This delightful activity book tells the story of Orange County as seen through the eyes of Purr, an orange tabby cat with nine lives. Intended for children at the 4th grade level, “Purr” appeals to all ages with its charming illustrations and clever summary of Orange County History.
