The class is open to students ages 14 and older. The focus of the class will be on learning the fundamentals of drawing, which starts with learning to see like an artist! Using line, shape, and value, we will start by building simple 2-D shapes and progress to building 3-dimensional forms. You will learn the essential techniques needed to draw what you see in a relaxed, supportive, and stress-free environment. Appropriate for all levels. A simple list of supplies includes an 18×24 drawing pad (Strathmore 400 is nice), a set of drawing pencils 6H – 6B, a kneaded eraser, and a wooden skewer. Blending stumps are useful but not mandatory.
