Pick-Your-Own Way through Orange County, VA

Pick-Your-Own farm experiences can be found right here in Orange County, Virginia! From herb and flower gardens to berry farms and apple orchards, Orange County has many family-run businesses welcoming visitors to pick-their-own produce all year long.

Nothing is quite as delicious for breakfast as fresh fruit that you picked with your own two hands. In Orange County’s rich agricultural landscape there are multiple options for picturesque farms and fields that allow you and your family to come for a pick-your-own adventure! Tis the season for fresh blackberries, raspberries and more at The Market at Grelen. The Market at Grelen is open for picking Wednesday through Sunday from 9 am to 3:45 pm. They will provide containers for picking berries but ask that you please bring your own bags for transporting them home.

Gold Hill Blueberry Farm 

Lovingly grown free of chemicals or herbicides, Gold Hill is a pick-your-own berry destination. Grab some family and friends and stop by until the beginning of August for pick your own blueberries. Their hours are Monday – Saturday 7am – 7pm, stop by the farm and enjoy some delicious blueberries!!!

In addition to pick your own fruit, Orange County also offers cut-your-own flowers at Liberty Mills Farms.  Flowers include Zinnias in many colors and varieties, Gladiolus, Echinacea, Cosmos, Dahlias, Lavender, Snapdragons, Sunflowers, and so much more! They will supply the bucket and shears and after you have created that perfect arrangement of flowers, they will wrap them up for you to take home or give as a gift.

Vacation cuisine can be about more than just ordering at a restaurant. All around Orange, you’ll find people planting produce and opening up their farms and gardens to visitors.
